A score looks wrong or is missing, what should I check?
The checks that usually explain an unexpected or missing score, and who to contact if they don't.
If a score is not showing, or looks higher or lower than you expected, a few checks usually explain it:
- Check the candidate's details. Look at the exam they sat, their date of birth, their year group and the entry point assigned to them. It is common for one of these to be slightly off. If the date of birth or year group is wrong, correct it, then contact us to rescore.
- Check the entry point. If the entry point assigned was not right for the candidate's age, the result may not be a fair reflection. In that case, a resit, or reading the result with some caution, may be best.
- Check how much was answered. If a candidate answered too few questions, we may not be able to generate a standardised score.
If none of these explains it, and it is simply the scoring you would like clarified, contact us with the candidate, the subject sat and your query, and we will review it.
