Why hasn't my exam changed after I updated the group?

Groups and assessments are independent, so a single applicant can sit in several groups and be reused easily for administering and downloading results.

Because of this, changing a group does not change an assessment you have already built from it. For example:

• You upload ten applicants into a group called '11+ Entry'.
• You create an assessment called 'Saturday 11+' and add that group to it.
• The next day one student drops out, so you remove them from the group. The group now has nine applicants, but the assessment still has ten.

The same is true in reverse. If you add an eleventh applicant to the group after the assessment is built, the group will show eleven but the assessment will still show ten.

If you need to change who is in an assessment, edit the assessment itself rather than only the group.
